Indonesian influencer and content creator Eva Alicia (@aliciaeva9) recently shared an unforgettable experience after attending the world premiere of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning in Tokyo, Japan, in early May 2025. As one of the few Southeast Asian creators invited to the red carpet event, Eva gave her followers a rare behind-the-scenes look at what it was like to meet Tom Cruise in person.
Despite the rainy and cold weather, Tom Cruise stunned fans and media alike with his professionalism and warmth. In a video posted to Instagram, Eva described the moment she stood just meters away from the Hollywood icon as he walked the red carpet, unfazed by the elements.
“He was incredibly humble and generous. I asked him two questions, and he took nearly three minutes to respond—fully present, smiling, and making eye contact,” Eva said, clearly still amazed by the interaction.
Eva noted that Cruise’s team made sure the environment felt comfortable and personal, even going so far as to ask fans not to form a queue—because, as they explained, Tom prefers to walk directly to people rather than make them wait.
“I was really surprised by how thoughtful the entire experience was. It didn’t feel like a typical celebrity appearance. He and the team made us feel valued,” she added.
In addition to Cruise, cast members including Simon Pegg, Hayley Atwell, and Greg Tarzan Davis were also present, braving the rainy weather to engage with international press and fans. One of the highlights for Indonesian followers was when Simon Pegg warmly greeted local fans by saying in Bahasa, “Jangan lupa nonton Mission Impossible!” which translates to “Don’t forget to watch Mission Impossible!”

“It was one of the most unforgettable nights of my life. Watching The Final Reckoning while sitting just a few rows away from the people who brought it to life—it felt like a dream,” Eva said.
